One of the pace laps, at Talladaga, April 21, 2001.  Went on a bus tour with my mother.  It was awsome

Here is a picture of the boys and I at Lowes Motor Speedway, in 2001.  We were just out cruising the vendors outside the track before going in for the Busch race

Friday-
Matthew and I went to pickup the Winston Cup tickets on Friday.  Looked at all the stuff for sale.  Raced eight other people in a big video game, with Matthew on my lap.  Decided to pay the $10 for admission and watched some of the Busch qualifying.  Matthew likes the Nestle Quick car.
Saturday-
Took all three kids to the Busch race on Saturday.  It had a big rain delay, but they finaly started racing.  Matthew and Nick really liked it.  Matthew's first race, Nick's second.  Sat on the back stretch, in General Admission, again.
Sunday-
We sat on the front stretch and the end of pit road.  Excellent seats.  Great race. Dale Jr. really came from back the pack to finish in the top 10.  Rusty also.  This time we parked on the back stretch and had to walk around to the front.   Can't win.  Three hours to get home.

May 2000 Lowes Motorspeedway in Charlotte NC
Jason, Kris, Kris's niece and newphew, Stephanie and Brian, Kris's brother-in-law Scott, a couple of friends of Brian's and I, all went to the race in Charlotte, NC. Both days for the Winston Cup Series and the Busch Series Grand National Division races. Nick thought the Bush race was too loud, so we didn't spend the $100 on a Winston Cup ticket. Maybe next time.
The Winston Cup race was at night. Dale Jr. almost won, but the handling went away after the last pitstop and Matt Kenseth won.  Jason had fun but couldn't stay awake till the end.

October 1999 Lowes Motorspeedway in Charlotte NC
Jason, Kris, Kris's niece and newphew, Stephanie and Brian, Kris's brother-in-law Scott, a friend of Brian's and I, all went to the race in Charlotte, NC. Both days for the Winston Cup Series and theBusch Series Grand National Division races. We sat in turn 2 and that is where all the crashes were.  We took some pictures of the wreckage, with a one-step 35mm camera.  Once developed, I will get a few scanned and posted.  It looked like a short track race, lots of cars running around with no fenders, no hoods and the backends bent.  It was lots of fun.

Coming soon, The Richard Petty Driving Experience pictures, at Lowes Motor Speedway
